A fig tree growing out of a wall in high summer: the fruit still green, the leaf bitter when you crush it, the stone underneath radiating the heat it collected all afternoon. The milky sap accord in the heart is what makes this one unusual — it reads almost like coconut water, and it keeps the composition from going flat and herbal the way fig scents often do.
