Honey is a difficult material — push it too far and it turns animalic in a way most people will not wear. We pushed it almost that far. Buckwheat honey is darker and more savoury than acacia, and against a smoky birch-tar leather it reads as something closer to tobacco than to dessert. Rich, slightly feral, best in cold weather.
